Hillary is a sad creature
I liked her, then I hated her, but I guess that was the author's intention. The evocations of the lost generation in the 20s and 30s was well-done. I had trouble "connecting" to Hillary, but then, I think that too was the author's message -- she was a shirt without sleeves.
